At Paw Behaviour, we are proud to offer a range of training programmes for diverse field sporting disciplines, including Gundog, Agility, Scent detection and tracking. With over 15 years of experience training working dogs, and a fully equipped training facility in Aldenham Hertfordshire, we welcome you to join us and have some fun teaching your dog something new and rewarding!
Field sports are fun and mentally stimulating exercises that provide an outlet for your dog to use their brain and noses as well as an opportunity to meet like-minded dog owners who enjoy a giggle! Field sports are a great way to engage with your dog by learning and practicing a new skill together, strengthening the trust and bond between dog and handler. We aim to teach you the skills so that you can take your training to the next level.
We regularly run groups field sporting workshops and classes throughout the spring and summer and are available for 1-2-1 sessions year-round.

Gundog training is the perfect mixture of dog training disciplines - combining obedience, agility and scentwork to create a fun and engaging game that you and your dog can enjoy together. For high-drive dogs and Gundog breeds such as Springer Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels and Labradors, these skills are very instinctual and tapping into that instinct is key to a happy and calm dog.

Agility is renowned for being a positive and fun form of exercise for dogs. We are lucky enough to have a full competition standard set of agility apparatus including jumps, tunnels and contact equipment. We only allow dogs aged 12 months and above to participate in agility classes to protect the joints of young, still developing puppies. Agility is a great way to tire out high drive dogs by working their brain as well as their stamina!

Scent detection and tracking are great exercises to do with your dog for mental stimulation whilst tapping into their incredible natural skillset. Our scentwork syllabus is designed to not just tire out your dog by working their brains, but will help to strengthen the relationship between dog and handler. Scent work challenges and fulfils a dog's natural desire to use their nose and follow scent with direction.
